Product Description
The blade of the sword has been constructed from polished 440 Stainless Steel with a ridge and short Ricasso. The blade comes slightly sharpened and is perfectly balanced. The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a black imitation leather wrap. The drag and scabbard throat are bronzed steel. A set of suspension rings allows the sword to hung from the wait or the back. The scabbard includes a leather belt. The guard is the traditional arched Viking style. The guard is built solid. The handle is steel with a brown leather wrap. The pommel is solid and balances the blade.
This Viking sword was different from its predecessors. The Spatha and Dark Age swords were primarily cut and thrust swords. This sword was created with a more sever taper at the point allowing for more effective thrusting, while still excelling at hacking and slashing motions.
